Biography

Born and raised in London, Libby became interested in music at a young age. She started composing through songwriting while at school before studying music and composition at University of York, initially training to become an opera singer. She has since come back to London and started writing songs more actively, with her debut single, Forever, launched in September 2020.

Despite Forever being her first release, Libby has been writing songs for over a decade. She specialises in singing classically, performing as a soloist in notable venues around the world such as the Sydney Opera House. Her original music draws on her classical background as well as folk influences such as Mumford and Sons and Hozier, incorporating a classical approach to harmony and vocal lines and bringing her operatic technique down into a lower tone to create something altogether unique.
